Sunday February 18, 2018 : Mumbai Press Club condemns a ghastly killing of a Nagpur-based journalist's 18-month-old old daughter and 60-year-old mother. 

The incident is shocking. We are deeply concerned about the safety of working journalists and their families. 

Ravikant Kamble, who is a crime reporter with news website Nagpur Today, had lodged a complaint of the kidnapping on Saturday. Sadly, his mother and daughter were found murdered on Sunday morning in a school building in the middle of the city. 

Mumbai Press Club demands that the culprits be arrested immediately. The police should ensure that the accused are punished in a manner which proves a deterrent against carrying out such gruesome murders. 

We stand in solidarity with the affected family.
