Maharashtra is among the first states to implement a pro-consumer Real Estate Regulatory Act (RERA) after it was notified on 1 May 2017. By August end, more than 13,000 realty projects had applied for registration. While RERA has brought in a much-needed transparency to protect the home-buyers, it has a fair amount of teething troubles.

Mr Gautam Chatterjee, the  chief of Maharashtra RERA, and an expert bureaucrat in housing sector, will speak at the Mumbai Press Club on Wednesday, 6th September, at 3.00 PM on: ‘RERA: Problems and Prospects'.

Mr Chatterjee has over 2 decades of experience in the housing sector in various capacities including CEO of the Slum Rehabilitation Authority (SRA), chairman of the Dharavi Development Authority and MD of MHADA and as Principal Secretary, Housing of Govt of Maharashtra.

He will also engage with Pranay Vakil, founder of Knight Frank India, and Parimal Shroff, noted property lawyer, in a panel discussion after the main presentation.

Please join us for the media interaction and stay for tea thereafter.

Regards,
Dharmendra Jore
Secretary
