Surabhi Malik, who leads Google's News Lab programme in India, will conduct the workshop.

The global programme is designed to help newsrooms and journalists learn the best ways to effectively use Google tools like Google Trends, Advance Search, Google Maps, Fusion Tables, YouTube etc for news gathering and reporting. Some of the key focus areas of the program include - Online Verification to check Fake News, Immersive storytelling, Data journalism and Multimedia storytelling.
